Description

Analog bass, vintage brass, soulful vocals — modern funk essentials

Kick off your platform shoes and take in those bell bottoms. Springbok Records head-honcho Stephane Deschezeaux is here to bring the funk bang up to date.

In this cool collection of nu-disco style riffs and rhythms, you’ll find modern flips and polishes to that old-school ‘on-the-one’ sound.

Drag and drop the deep analog bass, brass and chunky guitar twangs next to killer keys and stellar synth slides. Throw down some fly drums alongside clav grooves that would make Stevie smile. And that slapping bass is ready for its close-up too.

All loops are in WAV and Rex2 formats, tempo and key-labeled, ready for instant drag-and-drop action into any DAW or sampler.

Whether you’re aiming to recreate the iconic funk sound or add a vintage touch to your productions, Modern Funk provides the perfect foundation.

Its blend of retro aesthetics and modern usability makes it an essential addition to any producer’s library, offering endless possibilities for crafting unique and captivating compositions.

Questions?

Is Stephane Deschezeaux Presents Modern Funk royalty free?

Yes. Every sound can be used in your own tracks and commercial releases without paying anyone extra – no royalties, no clearance, no credit required. You are buying a licence to use the sounds in your compositions, not ownership of the sounds, so the samples themselves cannot be resold, re-licensed or passed on as part of another sample library.

Can I release the tracks I make with it on Spotify, YouTube or vinyl?

Yes, on any platform and with no limit on how many copies or streams. The licence covers commercial releases, DJ sets, client work and content you monetise. It is non-transferable, so it stays with you rather than with anyone you send the files to.

When do I get the files?

The moment your payment goes through. The download link is emailed to you and the files also sit in your account, so you can download them again whenever you need – there is nothing to wait for and nothing shipped.

What formats do I get and will they work in my DAW?

A single zip with WAV · Rex2 files inside. The download is 348 MB, so allow for that on a slow connection. Unzip it and drag the sounds straight into Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic, Cubase, Bitwig, Reason or any other DAW or sampler – there is no installer and no extra software, on both Windows and macOS.

What tempo are the loops?

The loops in this pack sit at 100–123 BPM, and the tempo is written in every file name together with the musical key where one applies. One-shots carry no tempo, so they fit any project.

My download will not open – what now?

Nine times out of ten the zip was only half downloaded; the size above tells you what a complete file should weigh. Start the download again from your account, and if it still refuses to open, write to support@bingoshakerz.com and we will sort it out.
